The Lodge: Earthlands Program Center

The Earthlands Program Center, in its 5th year as an educational and retreat facility, advocated Earth Education, Self-empowerment, community lifestyles, and personal and planetary healing.

The Lodge, which provides accomodation and facilities for program participants, guests and our residential community staff is where we practice and advocate rustic simple living, organic and vegan/vegetarian food choices, and "off-the-grid" solar electricity. There are individual and group retreat spaces at our certified camp facility.

The Central Lodge provides housing and facilities for groups in dorm-style rooms. The Lodge contains a vegan/vegetarian kitchen, a library, 3 flexible gathering spaces, and expansive outside decks facing south. The entire facility is "off-the- grid" with solar electric energy for 12 volt lights. There several large permaculture designed organic gardens, an herb garden, and a recently created forest garden. The facility is home to "sanctuaried" farm animals who will spend the rest of their lives living in the peace and safety of Earthlands.

The Campground is surrounded by hundreds of preserved fields and forests. There are numerous hiking, ski, and biking trails around Earthlands, as well as spaces throughout the forests and fields that support reflection and connection. We celebrate the sacred at Earthlands and that work is supported by several exception sacred areas: an ancient Native American underground chamber used for Equinox celebrations, a labrynth, a medicine circle, a sacred fire circle and a sweat lodge site.

The Orchard Cabin

The Orchard Cabin is a 10ft. Thoreau-type wood heated cabin for one or two people. The cabin is surrounded by over 2000 acres of preserved mixed forest and open land. The cabin is ideal for deep personal retreats, a quiet place for writing & study, and general re-creation and reflection.
