2016 – Earthlands Late Fall Programs
Now more than ever, it’s time to come to Earthlands!
For over three decades Earthlands in Petersham, MA has offered environmental, ecological and personal transformation programs to its community members and the public. Here’s what we have in store this Fall/Winter season!
On Tuesday, November 15th from 5:00 – 5:30 PM.
As a part of the international “Day of Solidarity with Standing Rock Sioux Clean Water Campaign”, there will be a sharing of poems, songs, and prayers on the Petersham Common with Larry Buell and Katja Esser.
On Tuesdays, 6:30pm – 8:30pm, starting November 15th.
Dream Workshop with visionary dream expert, Rhea Odegard. The Dream Workshop will consist of sharing dreams and discovering tools, themes and concepts in both the collective and personal unconscious. We will explore the language of dreams as a pathway to self-discovery and the soul. If you are interested in attending please email [email protected].
Wednesdays from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, starting November 16th.
Music and Poetry Sharing Circle with musician and ceremonialist, Amy Mazur. The Music and Poetry Sharing Circle welcomes those who wish to come with a work or idea to share, and open heart and mind to receive and listen.
Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:30pm, starting November 17th.
Visionary teacher, healer and artist, Rhea Odegard, will host a Women’s Interactive Workshop using her own teachings as a Wise Woman coupled with readings from the book, Women Who Run with the Wolves, by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes. This women’s group will explore, heal and activate women’s intuition and instincts. If you are interested in attending please email [email protected].
Sunday, November 27th
The annual Thanksgiving Day Potluck and Gathering will take place on with the potluck at 3:00 PM and a range music, outdoor events, and community activities.
On Saturday, December 3rd from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
There will be daylong workshop on Compassionate Communication combining the work of Marshall B. Rosenberg, Ph.D with Ancient Wisdom teachings. Through an active participation style workshop, students will learn ways to connect with self and others from a place of compassion. They will learn how to be more present by slowly listening and observing with all their senses. Students will integrate this state of deep listening into expressing and honoring their own and other’s authentic feelings, needs, and requests. The workshop will be co-facilitated by Rhea Odegard and Amy Mazur.
Sunday, December 4th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
There will be a special Water Ceremony with ritualist, Katja Esser, with a focus on “Exploring Water Within and Without: Coming into Oneness”.
One Sunday, December 11th at 2:00 PM, at the Petersham Country Store.
Earthlands and the Nipmuk Cultural Preservation, Inc. group will co-sponsor a lecture by Thomas Doughton, a Nipmuc author and senior lecturer at Holy Cross College on Southern New England Native Americans after the King Phillip War in the 1760’s.
